Al Hogan

Partner
Al Hogan is one of the founders of Hogan Taylor Beckham. He has been an integral component of the Myrtle Beach financial services landscape for more than 28 years. Al's career has focused on providing business owner clients with the most progressive wealth accumulation and preservation strategies. He specializes in exit planning, deferred compensation, estate planning and group benefits.

Al attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia and is a licensed Life, Health and Accident Insurance Producer. He has served on the executive councils of Lincoln Financial Group, Guardian, Metropolitan and Principal Financial Group. Al attained top level service awards with these companies in all years.

For the sales excellence in the life insurance and financial services business, Al has been named to a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table – an international association of financial professionals.

Until 1982, Al was a Class A PGA golf professional. Now, golf is his main hobby. In his free time, Al also enjoys reading. He is married to Vicki Hogan, and they have a daughter Kelly.

Chris Taylor

Partner
Chris Taylor is one of the founders of Hogan Taylor Beckham with the goal of creating an organization of specialists to collectively concentrate on a broad array of client's financial concerns. His main focus with the company is extensive financial planning for individual and business clients including: investment analyses, business exit strategies, asset management, estate planning and life insurance reviews.

Chris graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, completed real estate education from Urban Land Institute and received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Prior to winning two national awards as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley, Chris acquired valuable experience in real estate development. Eventually, he moved back to the Grand Strand and founded his own financial planning firm.

Chris and his wife Emily have two sons, Holden and Henry. Chris enjoys spending his spare time with his family as well as golfing & tennis.

Val Gundling

Insurance Advisor
Val’s extensive management and financial background is a benefit to individuals and companies that engage in a consultative relationship through Hogan Taylor Beckman.

His B.A. in Business/Economics was obtained from Bethany College in West Virginia and his MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University. He has completed Dale Carnegie Training, Human Resource Seminars and sales management training through Automatic Data Processing. In addition, he has received several national awards for his performance in sales.

He is currently licensed in South Carolina for Life, Health, Accident, Property and Casualty Insurance and is a Commercial Apprentice Appraiser. He has helped develop a Captive Insurance program, held management positions as Vice President /Human Resources, Vice President / Administration, National Sales Manager, and Management Consultant.

Val and his wife Auddie reside in Pawleys Island. They have a daughter living in San Francisco with her husband and two daughters, a son in Staunton, VA with his wife and daughter and a son in Pittsburgh in graduate school. He enjoys tennis, running and biking with his wife and competing in triathlons with his children.

Terry Tindall

Director of Operations
Terry Tindall joined Hogan Taylor Beckham in October of 2001. Terry is the Director of Operations for the company. She specializes in management of day-to-day operations in the manner consistent with the company's goals, prioritizes customer focus, and concentrates on creating an efficient working environment and improvement of customer communications. Terry found her niche in helping agents grow their business.

Terry attended Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC and received her SC Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producers license in 2006. She brought to the company 15 years of experience in administrative service.

Terry resides in Conway, SC with her husband and three children. She is active in her church choir and enjoys spending time with her family.

Pattie Barnaba

Administrative Assistant
Pattie joined Hogan Taylor Beckham in March of 2006. Originally from upstate New York, Pattie came to us with 14 years of experience in assisting Financial Professionals in the investment industry.

Pattie is responsible for meeting our clients and assisting our Account Executives with their daily operations and office procedures in each division of Hogan Taylor Beckham.

Pattie has two children and two grandchildren and resides in Pine Lakes with her husband Lou.

Natallia Belman

Case Coordinator
As Case Coordinator, Natallia helps Hogan Taylor Beckham's agents coordinate the application process as well as ensure continuous service of individual and business accounts.

Natallia graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2009. She also studied management of foreign investments in Belarusian National Technical University. Natallia has experience in small business consulting and sales of life and health insurance. She is a licensed Life, Health and Accident Insurance Producer in the state of South Carolina.

Natallia and her husband Pasha, a local photographer, live in North Myrtle Beach. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and photography.

Kate Glander

Account Services Assistant
Kate has been with Hogan Taylor Beckham since 2006. She handles processing of new health business and service-related issues with both group and individual policies.

Kate held a Pennsylvania Life, Accident and Health Insurance Producer License and worked for various carriers in the Pennsylvania-area for a number of years. She has a great deal of customer service experience not only in the insurance industry but also in the legal field.

Kate and her husband Al moved to Myrtle Beach from New Jersey in 2005. They have three adult children and two children-in-law that still live in New Jersey. Kate likes to spend her spare time working on "projects" and playing with her dogs Carl and Pete.

Gary Pell, CPA

Business Advisor
Gary received his B.S.B.A. with honors from West Virginia University in 1973 and he also completed the Harvard Business School - Advanced Management Program in 1992. Gary also holds Certified Public Accountant designation. He brings Hogan Taylor Beckham over 32 years of client service experience; 22 as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and for three years as CFO for a private $100 million company. His client service experience has been primarily with small to medium-sized private companies in a variety of industry sectors. Gary has served in several significant leadership positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Pittsburgh, New York, Chicago and Atlanta.

Gary is married to Jayne Pell, has three children and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and traveling with his family. Gary is actively involved in community and church activities.

Mo York

Mo is a Cost Segregation expert who has partnered with Hogan Taylor Beckham to address their client’s needs in identifying opportunities to take advantage of various tax strategies available to commercial and residential property owners to reduce taxes and increase cash flow. His background includes senior leadership positions in a variety of industries as well as the ability to work with companies of all sizes and focus. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Marketing from Catawba College as well as various industry and position-specific sales and management certificates. He is also a member of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals. Mo lives in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina with his wife. They have two grown daughters and enjoy spending time with them and their children.
